The Academy
The Academy provides talented young musicians quality musical training traditionally only available at the London conservatoires. The Academy is for teen-aged (minimum grade 8) and conservatoire-level pianists, violinists, violists and cellists. We also accept younger students below this level in our Junior chamber ensembles
The main goal of the Academy is to develop the musicality of its students. Under the guidance of acclaimed international performers, students play in chamber music ensembles and orchestra, perform in a series of recitals and masterclasses, and explore the DNA of music through musical analysis. The Academy also offers an intensive mixed day and resident course, our Summer Festival.
What people say about the Academy
“I really like how the Academy is different from any of the other things I’ve ever done before, where you come in and actually rehearse properly. It’s not sitting around being told exactly what to do, it’s collaborative and professional.” – Josh
“Being part of the Cambridge Chamber Academy has been a great honour – it has opened up my horizons to meeting extremely kind and talented individuals, exploring a variety or repertoire, and most importantly developing my performance skills – not only as a soloist but also as a member of a chamber music ensemble. The Cambridge Chamber Academy is a fantastic organization to be a part of!" - Gosia
